Some times the word ‘wiki’ refers to a user driven website, where anyone with necessary rights can write, modify and delete the content. Usually companies uses such type of sites to provide necessary information/ answers to the faqs to the users.
Some people calls the wikipedia as ‘wiki’, which is a type of site where anyone with rights can add/modify content.
I also heard that the word wiki is Hawaiian word which means quick. The same is applicable to wikipedia, the quick directory where anyone can find any the information with the help of few clicks.
